As a very young boy, I can remember going with Dad on the weekends to do tree work. The pay was small back then, but I was too. I guess once you get “sawdust” in your blood it’s hard to get it out.
I graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in mechanical engineering thinking that tree work probably wasn’t my path in life. However, during those years, there was always some tree work on the weekends to help pay for that education. I always wanted to start a business. So at the end of 2009, I decided to come back to my roots and formed Hildebrandt Tree Tech. In 2012 my younger brother Kelly officially teamed up with us and our Dad shortly thereafter in 2014. In 2015 my wife’s aunt, Edie, took over as our office manager. As you can tell, at Hildebrandt Tree Tech, it’s all about family! I have been truly blessed with the opportunity to work every day in an industry that I’m very passionate about and with some of the people that are closest to me in life.
When I’m not working, my beautiful wife Samye and I are busy raising three kids. Kaleb, Jolie, and Jace are blessings in our lives and keep us on our toes! We enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, and all the usual activities that go along with growing kids. Samye is a speech pathologist by education and still actively works in her field on a part-time basis. In between her speech work and raising kids, she also helps in the administrative side of Hildebrandt Tree Tech.
God has truly blessed our family and company. Our team of employees are as good as it gets, but none of this would matter without our customers. We speak about how awesome our customers are all the time at Hildebrandt Tree Tech. Our work, by itself, is very rewarding, but when you combine that with our great customers it’s a perfect combination. We are truly grateful for each of our customers affording us the opportunity to care for their trees!
